Hello from Ms.Freeman...

I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Elementary Education, I started South in 2005 and completed my Degree there as well. I am responsible for educating, loving, and being apart of many children’s lives in the school system. I desire to teach and provide fair opportunities for all of my students that step foot in my classroom not only in school itself but in life. I will do my best to provide a platform they can stand on and encourage them to work hard at what they love! Most of all I want to love my students well, even if it means I have to be hard on them.

...and the purpose of this blog.

The purpose of this blog is to provide you with an overview of things that are used in my classroom and ways in which I try to serve your children to the best of my abilities. It consists of resources I believe will set them up better to learn and grow. The following 5 things are a sample of what I use, please feel free to explore them: ALEX (Alabama Learning Exchange), Alabama Virtual Library, Podcasts, Large Portion of Love! and How do you learn best?

ALEX is going to help us!

ALEX is going to help us!

ALEX is a one stop for all website! It has great ideas for lesson plans, activities, professional development, and much more! It’s also great way for teachers to collaborate from all over to continue to improve and educate better! One con is that there could be a lack of teachers updating their ideas and contributing to the site so I will be sure to research elsewhere as well. I do not want my ideas to become stale or comfortable but always to push learning and hold my students attention.
