How do you learn best?
One thing I strive NOT to do in my classroom is to force my students to mold to a certain way of learning that is not for their benefit. I do my best to collaborate and find ways in which they learn best and enjoy it. Some children are more hands on and others are more listeners, there are many ways of learning! I do believe that my classroom will not always be the best environment for every type of learner and their different styles but I do wish to close the gap further and set them up to grow with fair opportunities set up for THEM. I also try to incorporate other things that they love into the classroom like art, music, and whatever else their hearts lean towards.
Hello from Ms.Freeman...
I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Elementary Education, I started South in 2005 and completed my Degree there as well. I am responsible for educating, loving, and being apart of many children’s lives in the school system. I desire to teach and provide fair opportunities for all of my students that step foot in my classroom not only in school itself but in life. I will do my best to provide a platform they can stand on and encourage them to work hard at what they love! Most of all I want to love my students well, even if it means I have to be hard on them.
...and the purpose of this blog.
The purpose of this blog is to provide you with an overview of things that are used in my classroom and ways in which I try to serve your children to the best of my abilities. It consists of resources I believe will set them up better to learn and grow. The following 5 things are a sample of what I use, please feel free to explore them: ALEX (Alabama Learning Exchange), Alabama Virtual Library, Podcasts, Large Portion of Love! and How do you learn best?
